Analyst (Business Development - LNG Bunkering)

General Overview

We are seeking a motivated and analytical junior Business Development Analyst to join the LNG Market & Business Solutions team. The analyst will be required to work on business development activities to drive the growth of LNG terminal services, with a focus on LNG Bunkering. This involves strategizing, planning, and executing various initiatives with customers of the terminal, to lead to the fruition of new infrastructure projects. This entry-level position offers an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in the LNG terminal industry while contributing to strategic initiatives and business growth.

 

Role and Responsibilities

The incumbent shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following scope of tasks and duties:

 

Business Development activities

  • Business intelligence/analytics: Gathering, organizing, and analyzing data from various sources to identify market trends, customer preferences, and growth opportunities. Assess project commercial viability through pricing/cost analysis, competitor benchmarking, and financial cash flow modelling.
  • Project coordination: Commercial support of infrastructure projects (focus for LNG Bunkering) from inception through various project development stages until award of EPC contract (FID). Manage multi-disciplinary project teams, monitor progression (actions and budget) and realise projects in line with agreed quality, timeline, and budget. 
  • Deal structuring: Support and execute business strategies with customers to create and grow services for LNG terminal services. Build relationships with customers to establish new contracts and work with cross functional team to conclude deals. Participate in engagements and negotiations with external stakeholders including regulators, deal counter-parties and other market participants
  • Business initiatives: Support various business initiatives by participating in project teams, contributing ideas, and implementing process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

 

Corporate Reporting and Support

  • Management Reporting: Prepare and deliver management reports, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics, to support decision-making processes and provide insights into business performance.
  • Budgeting and Planning: Assist in the budgeting and planning process by gathering data, analyzing trends, and providing input for financial forecasts and annual budget preparation.
  • Managing Risk Register: Maintain and update the risk register with inputs from the team, identifying potential risks to the business and implementing measures to mitigate them.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
