GENERAL OVERVIEW
The incumbent shall be involving in monthly closing activities, process accounts payable transactions, payments to vendors and employees, and maintaining the Company’s fixed asset register.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounts Payable Transaction
- Administer all incoming mail and invoices for Finance Group.
- Perform verification and matching and complete the requests processing and transactions according to payment run schedule.
- Review requests and documents to ensure compliance to procedures and policies.
- Prepare Withholding Tax (WHT) forms for payment to overseas vendors.
- Setting up new vendor in vendor master data.
- Half yearly review of vendor master data.
- Timely resolving issues with vendors.
Fixed Asset Register Administration
The incumbent shall support the Accountant in the management and administration of the Company’s Fixed Asset Register. The scope includes but is not limited to the following:
- Perform the verification of Company’s fixed assets from time to time including asset sighting, count and circularization.
- Ensure that fixed assets register is up to date on monthly basis.
- Preparing fixed assets listing for property tax requirements.
Monthly Closing Activities
- Prepare monthly journal entries.
- Prepare financial schedules upon completion of monthly closing.
- Liaise with external auditors for yearly statutory audit.
- Update project costs tracking.
Ad-hoc matters
- Perform half-yearly stock count.
- Support Finance Manager in internal audit.
- Assist in system improvements projects, if any.
- Any other ad-hoc activity.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent.
- Candidates with ACCA qualifications will have an advantage.
- Candidate shall have at least 3 years of hands-on experience in high volume accounts payable transaction in big organizations or MNCs.
- Candidate with prior experience in working a multi-cultural environment is an advantage.
- Candidate shall be proficient with MS Office applications Candidates have performed financial processing using SAP or Oracle system is preferred.
- Candidates shall also have in depth knowledge and understanding in financial principles and transactions.
