GENERAL OVERVIEW 

 

The Sustainability Intern will assist the Senior Manager in implementing and monitoring SLNG's sustainability initiatives at Singapore LNG Corporation Pte Ltd. The intern will be involved in research, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement to support the company's sustainability goals. This role will have the opportunity to help set up the Sustainability direction for a renown SME – SLNG, a major LNG player in the region.

 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Conduct research on sustainability best practices, regulations, and technologies relevant to the LNG industry.
  • Compile an exhaustive list of local/ global ESG policies that may be applicable to SLNG and together with Senior Manager to develop a sustainable (automated) monitoring system for tracking and alert especially on regulatory/ best practices changes affecting sustainability and compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international sustainability regulations and standards as a starting due diligence.
  • Support in the preparation of SLNG's annual sustainability report.
  • Collaborate with various departments to integrate sustainability elements i.e. social and governance aspects.
  • Bring clarity to the efforts that are currently in place and additional efforts as required.
  • Consolidate the various efforts that are already in place relating to governance (i.e. compliance, anti-corruption, whistle blowing, grievous systems, all governance related trainings, any other GRI disclosures) for next FY’s reporting.
  • Develop with Senior Manager Sustainability Metrics and KPIs for tracking and analyzing. 
  • Work with the Senior Manager and other teams to develop a tracking dashboard of the above.
  • Develop microsite within SLNG Corp website on sustainability metrics and performance to replace annual SRs.
  • Help in the preparation and execution of any stakeholder engagement activities related to sustainability.
  • Help in the preparation and execution of Sustainability Steer Comm meetings.

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Sustainability related qualifications open to explore other aspects of ESG and not only in Environmental aspects.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Familiarity with sustainability metrics and KPIs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Energetic and optimistic.
  • Great can-do attitude.
