Maintenance Supervisor (Electrical)

GENERAL OVERVIEW

 

The position is part of the Instrument Control and Electrical (ICE) team who is responsible for overseeing the safe and effective site execution of all electrical maintenance services and activities at the LNG Terminal.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Supervise and lead a team of electrical technicians and contractors in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment
  • Drive the structured On-the-Job Training (OJT) programme for E&I team members to support skills development and competency building
  • Conduct site inspections and quality control checks for all electrical works to ensure strict compliance with relevant local and international electrical codes, specifications and standards
  • Review and approve electrical-related permits, including electrical isolation, excavation, and instrument-related work permits
  • Lead investigations into electrical maintenance issues or abnormalities to determine root causes, propose solutions, and implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate with electrical engineers to develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs to enhance equipment reliability and address maintenance concerns
  • Conduct daily toolbox meetings to reinforce safety practices and ensure smooth coordination of maintenance activities
  • Participate in emergency response drills and assume assigned emergency roles as part of SLNG’s incident preparedness plan

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Diploma in Electrical, Electronic, Instrumentation, Chemical Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 8 years of supervisory electrical and maintenance experience, preferably in oil and gas, petrochemical or related industries
  • Strong technical expertise in low and medium voltage electrical systems, power distribution, network communication systems, motors, Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) and security systems, earthing, lightning protection, and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). Experience with Distributed Control System (DCS) is an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with industry codes and standards such as International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), National Electrical Code (NEC), and SS (Singapore Standards)
  • Physically fit and able to participate in emergency response duties
