The Senior Process Engineer is a key member of the Production Team, responsible for delivering process engineering support to the Production Shift teams and the facility owner of the process area in the LNG Terminal. This role plays a vital part in maintaining the safety, reliability, and efficiency of terminal operations, while driving continuous improvements across process systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Provide technical guidance on routine and non-routine operational activities to ensure safe and efficient production performance
•    Drive continuous improvement initiatives in process safety, equipment reliability, energy optimisation, and operational excellence
•    Troubleshoot complex process and equipment issues to enhance plant reliability and performance
•    Analyse plant performance indicators, such as power consumption and process efficiency, and conduct field data assessments to identify improvement opportunities
•    Lead and support energy efficiency and optimisation projects, including feasibility studies and implementation
•    Manage alarm rationalisation and optimisation efforts to maintain a robust and responsive control system
•    Lead and participate in the Management of Change (MOC) process for terminal modifications, taking ownership of selected MOC projects
•    Conduct process design and engineering analysis, including heat and mass balance calculations, technology assessments, and equipment selection.
•    Participate in technical reviews and safety studies such as HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, FMEA, RAM analysis, and design model reviews to ensure regulatory compliance and design integrity
•    Review and validate operational procedures and start-up manuals to ensure alignment with design specifications and safe operating practices
•    Lead inspections and investigations into equipment or system abnormalities, drive root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions
•    Support HSSE efforts by reporting and investigating safety incidents, near misses, or violations
•    Serve as the custodian for Operation Abnormality Reports, overseeing issue tracking, root cause investigations, and resolution follow-up
•    Participate in the terminal’s emergency response framework, including assigned roles during drills or actual emergencies.

REQUIREMENTS

•    Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent
•    Minimum 8 years’ hands-on experience in process engineering, preferably within oil and gas or petrochemical facilities
•    Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification is an advantage
•    Experience in LNG, natural gas, or cryogenic plant operations is highly desirable
•    Strong knowledge of international and local engineering codes, regulations, standards, and best practices relevant to process engineering
•    Proven expertise in commissioning, operating, and troubleshooting large-scale and complex process systems
•    Familiarity with Process Safety Management, Functional Safety, and Process Hazard Analysis frameworks
•    Cross-disciplinary knowledge in electrical, instrumentation, controls, or mechanical engineering is a plus.
•    Physically fit and able to participate in emergency response duties
