GENERAL OVERVIEW
We are seeking a highly analytical and motivated Financial Analyst/Senior Financial Analyst to support the investment planning, analysis, and reporting functions of our business operations in Singapore. This role is pivotal in providing financial insights that support strategic decisions, manage risks, maximise profitability within the LNG sector and other related projects.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Investment Planning & Analysis
- Lead investment or project evaluation, project structuring, financial modeling and funding requirements.
- Develop and maintain financial models, including cash flow projections, P&L, and sensitivity analyses for all projects.
- Monitor key financial metrics and performance indicators for new project operations and report insights to senior management.
- Ensure compliance to SLNG Investment and Project Frameworks.
- Analyse variances between actual performance and forecasts, identifying key drivers and recommending corrective actions where necessary.
Business Support
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including costing, operations, logistics, and commercial, to align financial forecasts with operational goals, and support contract negotiations and pricing strategies.
- Collaborate with the Treasury team to secure project financing by evaluating options, reviewing loan documentation, and overseeing drawdowns, while also assessing interest rate and currency risks through hedging and ensuring compliance with hedge accounting alongside accounting.
- Assist in evaluating new projects that align with the company’s growth objectives.
Risk Management
- Identify and assess financial and operational risks.
- Work with Risk Management teams to implement hedging strategies and mitigate potential project exposures.
REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. CFA or equivalent certification preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in financial analysis, ideally within the energy sector or asset intensive industry.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with expertise in financial modeling and data analysis.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
- Analytical, resourceful, process oriented and can work independently.
- Ability to multi-task and work under tight timelines.
